Windows 7 is here
I decided to do a blog about the release of windows seven and how people respond to releases of new technology. We all hear the hype when a new product is being released, "the "new" iphone, its so much better than the last." I find it sort of comical the reactions some people have to these new technologies, some people who may have gotton an iphone only months earlier feel it is necessary to get rid of it in favor of the new one, "that is so much better." http://www.pcworld.com/article/174341/windows_7s_opening_weekend.html. Maybe people should be more concerned with what I consider real news, such as the war in Iraq (oh yea remember that?) or the recession we are facing rather than the glitches and compatability issues windows seven is facing. On almost any news webpage you can find an article about windows seven.

I find this funny because it is true with everyone hyping over any new technology coming out, such as the new Droid or whatever the new Verizon phone is. People are more materialistic than anything else these days. However, I have not really heard about Windows seven a lot surprisingly. Also, every time Windows comes out with something there is always something wrong with it, and they talk about the problems with in the first paragraph. I hope you do not have a PC or anything that uses windows in that case. Most people are against the Mac, but they are not having any problems with their computers or applications.
ReplyDeleteI think that its always funny when people are soo excited for a new device or program or technology to come out, that they just play it up to be the very best thing that there has ever been and that there ever will be. they go trough the trouble of being the first in line to get it and are just pumped. Then for the next 3 months or so, all u hear them talk about is how crappy it is. They just wont shut up about how bad there phone, computer, iPod is, and it makes u just want to yell at them. Then just when u are about to explode, the next greatest thing is being advertised, and this horrendous cycle starts all over again.
ReplyDeletePeople jumping for the new technology is considered to be "cool" for many. It is indeed comical that they do so, but the fact is there is no end to technology and its progress, thus, I believe that people who want the new technology at all times is absurd, however some do appeal more than others, thus it is a natural action.
